The active test is your full reading — nothing replaces it. But mornings get busy, and your biology doesn't wait. So every morning Hyperion quietly builds a passive prediction of your readiness — before you touch a single button. It uses everything it already knows about you:

Passive signals collected in the background from your devices

Context most systems never look at: timezone changes and travel, weather and atmospheric conditions, training load from previous days

A prediction is a forecast, not a verdict — once you take the active test, the real reading always wins. And as everywhere in Hyperion: the numbers come from the deterministic engine; AI only turns them into words — never into decisions.

Health Contraindications — Independent Safety Layer

A second safety layer runs independently of your Biology Readiness Index. Protocols blocked by declared health conditions — cardiovascular contraindications, pregnancy, epilepsy, pacemaker and more — are never shown, regardless of your current score. Protocol availability is always physiologically safe before it is performance-optimised.

Skin temp > 37.5°C → blocks heat-intensive protocols
RHR ≥ 100 bpm → caps the label at Warning, blocks cardio-loading protocols
Sleep < 6h → caps the label at Warning
Lactate > 4 mmol/L long after training (when it should already be cleared) → blocks protocols that add metabolic load. Fresh post-exercise lactate is expected physiology and doesn't trigger this lockout.
Tapping drops ≥30% below your personal norm (or < 4.5 Hz before the system knows your norm) → neurological overload flag
Alcohol → raises the neurological risk weight in all results

These lockouts are hardcoded. Hyperion cannot override them. This is how Hyperion protects you even when your score looks acceptable.

Dirty Data Filter.

Wearables don't know if you drank coffee, took ibuprofen, or had wine yesterday. I do.

Before calculating anything, Hyperion runs your data through the Dirty Data Filter, which detects:

→ recorded as measurement context

NSAIDs

→ reduce weight of DOMS, increase weight of lactate

Beta-blockers

→ disable HRV/RHR entirely

Alcohol

→ increases neurological weight and risk factor

Antihistamines

→ chemical load correction

+ other substances

→ recalibrated accordingly

This is why my results stay accurate even when your sensors don't.

Built-in anti-cheat

Hyperion rejects unreal measurements before they ever reach your model:

  • Tapping test — synthetic or unnatural taps are detected and discarded
  • Camera PPG — lift your finger off the lens and the measurement stops; you repeat it
  • Subjective survey — answers clicked through too fast to be read are flagged as invalid

Garbage in, garbage out — so garbage never gets in.
